Working to optimise the efficiencies of sourcing and servicing for Voltage-Reactive Power Systems and Power Quality equipment requirements, you’ll build influential relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers in planning for procurement requirements, engaging with the market, leading the inventory methodology application, and advising your stakeholders on best practice approach for specific materials through your robust market knowledge.


With a goal of consolidating and optimising our vendors and products, you’ll apply high level material sourcing strategies aligned to our business goals, developed through market intelligence, stakeholder research and risk analysis. Drawing on your technical engineering experience, you’ll provide recommendations and guidance to the business to optimise the use, operation, and sourcing of equipment.

 

Further to this you will;

 

  • Use your technical knowledge to develop and standardise strategies for voltage control, reactive power management, and power quality requirements
  • Act as the main liaison for business requirements with various suppliers and stakeholders
  • Lead procurement and testing processes for Voltage-Reactive Power Systems and Power Quality equipment
  • Execute and integrate strategies to mitigate risks associated with voltage control and ensure network stability
  • Collaborate in planning and modelling workshops with technical stakeholders to determine optimal solutions for voltage control, reactive power management and power quality schemes
  • Provide specialist technical advice and recommendations to leaders in the business
  • Conduct technical workshops, project design, and defect investigations
  • Develop or review technical specifications
  • Develop and own inventory strategies as well as supporting best practises for spare inventory management for Voltage-Reactive Power Systems and Power Quality equipment
  • Responsible for supplier Factory Audits, Design Reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and other vendor approvals for equipment within the Voltage-Reactive Power Systems and Power Quality Plant category

Your expertise

 

As an experienced professional, your knowledge of global supply chain markets and trends has equipped you to build strong working relationships – in particular with suppliers – that have ensured your success in delivering for your customers. You have a proven ability to develop and deliver category plans, factoring varied and complex market forces and challenges whilst scoping outcome-focused solutions to these.

 

You’ll present with: 

 

  • Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience in Voltage Control and Reactive Power Management Systems
  • Significant experience in managing Large and Complex Voltage Control Reactive Power Management Systems Projects
  • Proven ability in determining strategies to support legacy plant and equipment for Voltage Control Reactive Power Management Systems
  • Ability to read, interpret and provide advice in relation to technical specifications, drawings and other technical documentation as it relates to the assigned category equipment and materials
  • Ability to conduct quality audits at supplier’s manufacturing plants, including the assessment, make recommendations, and final determinations
