As a Principal Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of Powerlink's Major Projects and CopperString 2032. You will lead and manage a team responsible for the execution of complex regulatory approvals, land and access rights, cultural heritage compliance and native title across a program of major linear infrastructure projects. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people you're proud to work with and get to know. Here's how:

 

  • You'll proactively engage with, influence and build relationships with regulators, internal stakeholders, and a broad range of external partners to influence decisions, foster positive relationships, and navigate challenges collaboratively.
  • You'll develop and implement strategic direction for all upstream development activities associated with major projects, including land access, acquisition, approvals, native title, and cultural heritage.
  • You'll collaborate with the Project Development Director to set strategic goals and objectives.
  • You'll engage with communities to ensure social performance goals are met and foster goodwill in project areas.
  • You'll identify key risks within large-scale linear infrastructure development projects and establish risk mitigation strategies.
  • You'll effectively collaborate within the Major Project leadership team environment to ensure key risks are understood, captured, and executed on throughout the entirety of the delivery lifecycle.
  • You'll monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track, in line with the Major Project’s Development Management Plan and the Major Projects delivery lifecycle.

Based at our Bowen Hills office, you'll collaborate with passionate professionals to deliver major infrastructure projects that benefit communities. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, you'll lead a team in navigating complex regulatory environments and fostering positive relationships. 

 

Your expertise

 

  • You'll have degree level qualifications in a relevant field, coupled with demonstrated experience in delivering primary approvals, land access, land acquisition, cultural heritage, and native title for large scale projects. 
  • You'll have a proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, budget oversight, and risk mitigation.
  • You'll have extensive experience in securing regulatory approvals
  • You'll have an in-depth knowledge of native title legislation, cultural heritage protection laws, land access, and acquisition processes.
