As the Lead Technical Instructional Designer, your primary goal is to transform complex technical information into instructional content, courses, and training programs tailored to specialised competencies within Operations and Service Delivery (OSD). Working closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learners, you will create engaging and effective learning experiences. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between technical expertise and effective education or training, ensuring Powerlink employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their technical roles.

The community you will join

Based in Brisbane, and reporting to the Manager of Technical Competency and Training, with one direct report, you'll be joining a dedicated technical training team within our (OSD) division.

Your expertise

• Bachelor degree or higher in instructional design, education, or a related field, or a lesser qualification with significant experience. 
   
• At least 3 years related experience in designing, developing, and evaluating learning solutions for technical competencies. 

We’d also love you to have:

• Queensland Electrical Licence. 
   
• Tertiary qualifications in communications related studies.
